Process
Plans in, submittal package out, on a published schedule
Five steps, in order, because the work genuinely is sequential. The only thing you do after step one is review.
- 01
Send us the plans
A share link to the architectural set is enough. We do not need a scope document, a purchase order, or a call first. If you know the hazard classification, tell us; if you do not, we will determine it from the plans and tell you what we used.
If you already ran an estimate, send it with the plans and we will price against the same zones you entered.
- 02
Scope confirmed and price locked
Within 4 business hours you get a written scope confirmation: the zones and hazard classes we read from the plans, the rate-card fee, the delivery date, and anything the set is missing.
For a conforming project, the rate-card price is locked there. That figure is what gets invoiced. If the project does not conform, we say what is missing before any design work starts, and nothing is committed.
- 03
We design it
US-based NICET-certified designers lay out heads, size and route pipe, and run the hydraulic calculations to the demand point. The designer who draws your job is the person who answers your comments on it.
We automate the repetitive parts of drafting — sheet setup, stock listing, revision bookkeeping — so designer hours go into layout and calculation instead.
Nothing goes out under your name that you have not seen. You stay the reviewer.
- 04
Delivery on the published schedule
Standard turnaround runs from 5 business days for projects up to 15,000 SF to 12 business days at 150,000 SF. Larger projects are scheduled at scope confirmation. The clock starts at scope confirmation, not at upload.
2 revision rounds are included. A round is one consolidated set of comments and our response to all of them. Comments from the authority having jurisdiction on our design work are handled inside the included rounds.
- 05
Stamp and submit
You get a submittal package assembled for the authority having jurisdiction. PE-stamped design documents are available in select states as an add-on, priced on the rate card.
Delegated-design acceptance varies by jurisdiction. We confirm that a given authority having jurisdiction will accept the work product at scope confirmation, before any design work starts.
What you get
- Fabrication-ready shop drawings, plan and elevation, with a sheet index
- Hydraulic calculations with the demand point and the supply curve
- Stock listing and cut lists suitable for fabrication
- Hanger and seismic bracing layout where the project requires it
- A submittal package assembled for the authority having jurisdiction
- Native design files plus PDF, delivered together
Head layout, plan view
Rate-card pricing applies to conforming projects. We confirm scope within four business hours of receiving plans, and a conforming project is locked at rate-card pricing at that point.
If you run the design department
Your team keeps the interesting work. We take the overflow — the concurrent projects that would otherwise sit in the queue or get declined. We are not a replacement for in-house designers and we do not pitch ourselves as one; the contractors who use us most are the ones whose own designers are busiest.
